Building our Skills at Port Charlotte

Calling all Islay folk!

Do you have a skill you could share with the children?

Can you knit, sew, carve wood, write poetry, paint or have any other hobby?

Do you have a spare hour a week?

We would like to broaden the learning opportunities for children in Port Charlotte School. If you would like to support us to do this then please get in touch. We are looking for parents or members of the community to come into school and share their skills with the children. This could involve taking 4 or 5 children at a time over a few weeks to teach them a skill and create an end piece, for example sewing a puppet or weaving a scene.

If you would like to get involved with the school and share a skill with the children, then please let us know by phoning the office on 01496 850327.

We look forward to hearing from you.
